Angry, bitter and set on revenge, he is determined to find out who is at the heart of these horrible things happening in his life.His negative attitude towards women never changes, but that doesn’t stop the women from continuing to flock his way. Inez continues to hold him down in whatever way he wants, despite the danger she could be putting herself in. Having him seemed to be all she needs and wants. But he wants more than just her complete loyalty and continues to deal with other women, even as he lives with her.His patient nature was an asset, as over time he was able to avenge those who had violated him. But payback is a bear on his back riding him right into hiding, as his actions have finally caught up with him. The walls seem to close in all around him, and though he sees the consequences of his actions and how they have affected others, it’s too late to turn the hand. The script has been written and he must pay the piper. What’s done in the dark always comes to the light and there is always a price to pay for the mistakes of the past.Layer upon layer of lessons were presented in this book. Cash has managed to tell the story in the most real and uncut way as only he can. While the choices of Youngblood’s life cost far more than he ever bargained for, you have to respect a person who deals with the consequences like an adult, accepting full responsibility for his actions. Sometimes the lessons we need to learn are the ones that cost us the most. As with other stories I’ve read by him, Cash has the ability to tug on my emotions. It’s so easy to feel for his characters and want a different hand for them, but the reality remains is that everyone loses in living the street life.5 stars

This novel was a very good read, it captures street life along with the mayhem...the rise and falls of the old and the up and coming in the drug world, a page flipper, and drama filled. I totally agree with the title of this novel..being in this type of arena how can one trust without always looking over their shoulder. Inez is a ride or die chic, and Juanita just wanted 2 make life better, but the streets had captured Youngblood and soon things begin to fall apart... once again betrayl shows it's ugly face, lives lost and or stolen, kids are born, and family no more. All for the love of the streets...the fame..the power, and the women that comes along with the game. True to the saying "Loose Lips Sink Ships"....in this novel it comes to be, but when your put in a corner for love or honor do you fall or do you snitch..what sacrifices do you make and loyality to whom?. This was a good read, if you have yet 2 read part1 read it, but then you'll have 2 read this one, it's good, trust.Keep'em comin CASH

I purchased this book a couple of weeks ago. I had never read anything written by this author before. I must say I was not disappointed at all. It keep my attention from beginning to the end. I must say Cash did his thing in this book. Even though the story tells of all the things that go on in the streets it stays true to how people treat the ones that they are suppose to love the most and be there for. The character Youngblood was not a bad person to me. He made some messed up choices in his life but all in all he was a decent person. He stayed true to himself, and after all like in life if you don't look out for number one who else will. I can't wait to read the third book to this series. I hope those that played a part in Youngbloods demise get what they deserve.

Trust No Man is a story about a young stick up kid by the name of Youngblood. Youngblood is all about making his paper an will get it by all means necessary. While reading this book you will follow the live of Youngblood and his many adventures into making stacking his paper along with all his baby momma drama. Who will he be able to trust to hold him down, well you will definitely have to read it to find that out.This book was all right, the characters are very vivid and realistic. It has a few slow moments but eventually picks up.

The book should be a definite eye opener to those who live that lifestyle. It's a good book to me because it hits a lot of situations that are happening in real life. Especially with the baby mama drama. He treated Cheryl like dirt after she gained weight having kids for him(grimey).She ran off with his loot. Then she had to reap what she sowed and ended up loosing out n still back in the house with her moms..BROKE..Shan is just a whole hot mess in every sense of the word. Juanita just doesn't seem like she was thorough enough to deal with Youngblood...Inez she is truly the one in the book she held her man down to no avail, she showed genuine heart,unconditional love,and very loyal to her man..That's hard to find now days..Most women are gold-diggers looking for a way out..In the street game loyalty is supposed to reign supreme but as u can see it's really every man for himself..The book was full of traitors King,Murder Mike,Shotgun Pete,Rich Kid,and Lonnie just hurt my heart,and last but not least Youngblood was a traitor too because he befriended people he was going to sting...The way part two ends...I think he really deserved to suffer he took alot of lives and he should have been made to suffer as well....Go CASH Go Wahida I'm waiting on Thug 5.....

You need to be Jewish to really appreciate this book. Some of these I heard as a kid when our family would get together, and some are from the old Jewish comedians I grew up listening to. If you are not Jewish, these are great that will definitely make you laugh. It just will probably not be a side splitting, Uncle Morris told that one, since you probably didn't grow up with old Jews! Great book!

Before purchasing this book, I read parts in a store and was impressed. Now that I have had the opportunity to read the whole book, I found the jokes on the whole to be original and first rate. I liked the background on the tellers which allowed for a better understanding of how the particular joke developed.I would recommend a leisurely journey through the book, enjoying each joke and sharing it with someone who would also appreciate it,

This is an entertaining book. It's one you can reread and enjoy again.

Laughter is the spice of living a great life and staying healthy. My husband, who is Jewish and I went on vacation with some of his cousins and his sister and her husband. Every day, at breakfast and during the day we would pull this book out and we'd randomly ope n to a page and read a joke. We would roar with laughter and disrupt the whole restaurant. We did this every day and had the best time together. We gifted each with this book and they took it home with them to share the laughter and the love. Wonderful book that has given much joy and love.

I'm so enjoying reading the cute jokes in this book. I recommend it, especially in these stressful times, when a laugh or chuckle is most welcome!

There are indeed some of the connecting points between the story of Israel, the Gospel message of Christ, the implications of personal salvation, and the method of persuasion of others of that salvation that even well-read Christians struggle with. This book attempts to identify the distinction between each of these four categories and properly explain how they relate to each other.I do find it to be incredibly important that we not consider a person reached and to simply move on to the next person once they pray the sinner's prayer and accept Jesus. It is very important that they understand the larger Bible and how it all comes together. Some of the emails he includes in the book that he has received prove the need for some education as to the framework of the Biblical message and sadly reflect some of the questions I've been asked as well. If your people don't know what Jesus being the Messiah has to do with us being saved, or if they're asking if Jesus preached Paul's message, you would do well to spend more time teaching the actual content of the Bible rather than messages that build upon Biblical concepts your congregation isn't familiar with in the first place.The author understandably spends quite a bit of time trying to reassure the reader that he is not speaking against personal salvation or the evangelism process, he is simply trying to get us to stop and spend some more time developing an understanding of the actual life and story of Jesus, and the rest of the Bible that is a very important part of the context and why we need a salvation in the first place.He also spends some time highlighting that we are not done once we are saved and that there is a reason we are still here. Our behavior, actions, motivations, and routes through which we do evangelize and disciple others should be in keeping with what we know about Jesus. We are to live for Him in light of what He showed us. There is a lot more growth as a Christian that takes place after that conversion moment and too often Christians are allowed and even encouraged to sit in stagnation after that moment. If we really understood the Bible, it would not be the everyday car payments and such that take up 99% of our conscious awareness day in and day out.

McKnight does a wonderful job of working out an idea which has been proposed by several others pastors and scholars. This is the idea that biblical discipleship has all but fallen out of the mindset of the western church as an actual and necessary goal for those who would follow Jesus.This book is critical because it shows that the heart of the Gospel as understood by Jesus, the apostles, and the early church was a gospel which was all encompassing, beckoning the Christian to imitate all of Jesus' life and preach all of the gospel rather than simply to preach the plan of salvation. I value this work greatly as a pastor and as a denominational worker. We should be challenging our churches to embrace the gospel to the fullest extent in every way possible.

We have been teaching people they need to make a decision to believe in Jesus when we should have been directing people to follow Jesus. Of course you can't truly follow Jesus without belief, but after reading this book I think you can't really believe in Jesus without wanting to follow him. It's about far more than just deciding to believe in Jesus so I can be saved. When we teach people that Jesus is good for us because he saves us and then make discipleship (a whole-life following) to him a secondary aspect, we run the risk of people using Jesus as a mega-sized good luck charm...which is not really believing in Jesus. It's spiritualized self-preservation, which makes Jesus all about me, instead of making me all about Jesus.

Another way of putting it is this: the gospel is the Story of Israel that finds resolution in the saving Story of Jesus, and that story is about God’s work in this world in the people of God.The above quote from this very important book summarizes for me what Dr. Scot McKnight is trying to emphasize. I read his book twice because I wanted to make certain I had the answer to this this key question. What is the Gospel?The Gospel is a big deal! We must get it right! This book will make certain we get it right. When we get it right, we are properly equipped to do God's work.Before reading this book, my idea of the Gospel was way too small. It now is not. The Gospel is a story that first must be properly understood. Once understood, we will be ready to join and continue this story for future generations. This is a must read!

Scot McKnight's view of the gospel is the 100,000 foot view. It sweeps from creation to Israel to Jesus to the church and to the finality of the coming fullness of Christ's kingdom. Another good book. Good solid characters, mystery and intrigue. This is the second book in the series and I have enjoyed both, I liked the characters, although a couple of them were far from pleasant, and I really like watching how the hero and heroine grew as people and tackled the challenges they faced.I would have given this one 5stars but for one or two crucial missing pieces of the puzzle.The author never satisfactorily explained how Christie's grandmother, a woman universally despised in River's End, came to own the Stationmaster's cottage so she could leave it to Christie ... The stationmaster's cottage's history is so firmly rooted in Martin's family, and yet it's Christie who inherits the cottage from her grandmother. And it was never explained how the previous owners came to leave the trunk with the letters and painting in the attic, a trunk containing crucial family papers, despite ownership of the cottage going from Martin's grandfather to Christie's grandmother ...people who despised each other... it was a little too glib to be feasible and for me theses crucial plot -holes detracted from an otherwise enjoyable read.

Where do I start after I finished reading The Stationmaster, I couldn't wait to see what else she had written. I immediately bought Jasmine Sea not knowing it was a sequel to The Stationmaster! I so enjoyed both books and can't wait for your next one. I am a voracious reader and happened upon The Stationmaster by accident. What a find. As your first novels, let me tell you that you hit them both out of the park. Look forward to seeing you next and will keep your name on my "books to look for" list.

Jasmine Sea: A River's End Love Story. Book TwoBy author Phillipa Nefri Clark.This tale takes on where The Stationmaster's Cottage (River's End Romance Book 1) left off. A reader would stay glued to the pages till the very end. The story flows fluidly and took me to heart breaking tension and breathtaking thrills.It was an amazing adventure to be a part of the magic in Jasmine Sea, even for a little while! It has got it all...action, humor, pulse-raising suspense and heart-melting warmth.

The perfect follow-up to "The Stationmaster's Cottage", "Jasmine Sea" does not disappoint. Without giving any spoilers, you'll love the continuing romance between Christie and Martin, learn more about Christie's scurrilous ex, and discover the crescendoing drama taking place in Rivers End all leads to a heart-pounding and page turning climax. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and highly recommend it!

Second in the series did not disappoint. Another great read that totally captured my attention as the story continued on. The characters are very easy to follow, the description of the sleepy seaside village gives the reader a vivid image, and even the villains are entertaining. I’m currently reading “The Secrets of Palmerston House”, the third of the series, and it, too, continues to be a very exciting read.

I have both of these books. You are very talented. I am an avid reader and when I read I visualize the characters as I read. The people in these books are so wonderful. I hope to read more of your book's. Thank you.

The story itself is enjoyable, and while I find Christie way too annoying, the rest of the characters were well worked out. The reason why I only give 3 stars is the utter lack of editing/proofreading. The amount of missing words, typos, and missing punctuation marks is unacceptable, and I wish the author would put more effort into finding good proofreaders.

this story started out with great expectations, but toward the end I finished it without reading the completestory, Talk about predictable, this is one story that came to the obvious end.

There was nothing new nor elaborate about the information. It is a superficial book mostly about keywords with the disbelief that key words will drive sales, increase your ranking on Amazon, which is not true. Sales, lots of advertising and good reviews (20+) will help drive sales, create a brand name as whatever product you are selling, has in general a 100+ other persons selling the same product, with the same or similar keywords. It is no different from having website, as no amount of keywords will change the fact that there are a 100 million other websites, and the only thing that will differentiate yours is lots of money, advertising. This book could have been written in 10 pages or less. The only reason I gave it two stars was because Mr. Wong does know how to advertise, create a clever book name that enticed me to buy. This is a book that is all style with little or no substance.

It was pretty good, well written but since it's covering mostly a peaceful time in the story this isn't anywhere near as exciting as the previous novels. Also once the action DID start things went a little too well for our party, I wouldn't say they "barely scrapped by" in this one, the main villain was dispatched with little fanfare. And for the most part the story was mostly about Goblin Slayer's dates with only the last 30 pages being about some "sinister plot", but this can also be taken a good thing since things were shaken up abit here, keep the story arcs from getting stale. One thing I WILL say tho is that the introduction of a overarching story was introduced in this chapter: things that tie into some of the previous arcs and lay the groundwork for future ones. Overall a good read, if you're a fan of these books I don't think you'll be disappointed!

I don't say this lightly but this just like the previous volumes is 10 stars out of 5. The writing is strong and of great quality up there with Shield Hero, Gate, Log Horizon, SAO, All You Need is Kill, RTW, Amber Sword and Mushoku Tensei. Only downside to Goblin Slayer is it's less elaborative and wordy but this in no way detracts from the novels.-Characters are consistent-Story is awesome, well written and extremely realistic in how things interact with one another-No asinine high school garbage-No brain dead, naive, lucky out the ass imbecile main character that extremely likely only through the sheer force of an armada of guardian angels to get out of childhood alive-No harem-Girls like the MC plausibly and with due cause-MC is still himself and single mindedAction wise this is a needed step down to show the more daily ongoings of things. Hopefully the next volume will have the same amount of action and some more alternate perspectives to build even further on the world and everyone in it. Up to now there is no fluff and plenty of space for elaboration of everything and anything. Can easily picture at the very very literal least five more novels without digression or degradation. If author slows the pace down and becomes more elaborative then easily even more novels.

This was more slice of life. A little in-depth about Guild Girl and Cow Girl and their thoughts about the Goblin Slayer, and how they care about his well-being. It's sweet but it's too bad Goblin Slayer will never reciprocate the feelings of any of female love interest.I felt the last part of the book, the action part, Goblin Slayer and crew had a 'too much' successful victory. No damage or hurt people in the frontier town. Everyone in town is none the wiser to what happened that night. Only found dead goblins the next day. No one asked what the hell happen or the aftermath of the assassination attempt.It's a good story, even I felt Goblin Slayer had a slight change. I hope in a future volume, High Elf takes Goblin Slayer to a fun adventure. Hope.

The first novel was a series of goblin slaying quests, and more practically, an introduction into the world. The second was a long quest, and read just like a TTRPG session would.This is a little different. It focuses most on character building, especially with side characters rather than the main cast. Essentially revolving around a harvest festival, Goblin Slayer does his thing as two girls attempt to date him - it's amusing, but not action-packed.I intend no harm with a 3-star rating, but if you came from the first and second novels expecting more TTRPG style questing, you won't find much here. Enjoyable for the unwavering fanbase (of which I am very much onboard with), but for a reader who wants a DnD story, or who came from the first two novels expecting more campaigning, volume 3 won't make your ends meet.

Absolutely terrible. If you liked the idea of Goblin Slayer and was looking forward to a story where it's about the main character and his experiences with slaying his personnel demons, don't buy this book. The series started off great, but now it's treading into generic harem trash route or where every character falls in love with the protagonist. It had a good concept, but the author wants to focus on the romantic aspects while shoehorning in only one goblin slaying. The author floats around these girls that fawn over him, and almost throughout the entire book focused on their perspective on him! Almost nothing on the main guy.

This was a decent addition to the series. It toned down the violence from the past two volumes and emphasized the importance of the relationships Goblin Slayer has developed as an adventurer. Although GS is meant to be a stoic hero who barely talks, I feel the series would really benefit from him vocalizing his feelings more. He does it a little in Vol. 3, but I feel this could have used more character development on Goblin Slayer's part.

I gotta say. The Water Toen Arc was surprisingly nice D&D romp.And to see Goblin Slayer rage mode the Goblin Champion was just awesome!Plus, the over the top and unorthodox solutions to Goblin Slayer's adventures are always fun to read!

Good story and plot. Really enjoy this sequel. Already got use to the lack of names, unfortunately it won't change but it rest a lot to the personality of the characters, making them generic. Also, the main character seems stagnant, doesn't evolve through the serie.

Fascinating survey of just about every aspect of East German life. I personally found the advertising and consumer goods chapters the best. As usual with Taschen, the book is fascinating visually. There are essays in English and German to round out your knowledge.Despite the regime's attempts to put a good face on things, East Germany was a pretty unpleasant place to be. The book does cover the Stasi, and isolation of life there.Good lesson on everyday life in a dictatorship. Has a lot to offer not only for students of history, but for students of the present day world.

If you are in any way intrigued by the German Democratic Republic then this is a must buy. Plenty of photos and illustrations from life back in the DDR. It is a brick of a book so you can use it to throw at the Stasi during a morning raid before making your escape!

Any student of history and especially Germany should read this book, very well written in English and German with many photos. Details daily life in the DDR and shows many products made there, full of propoganda. A travel guide to someplace that you can no longer visit, except by reading through the pages of this massive volume.Well worth the cost that will become a treasured addition to your collection.

As noted on the back cover, "Your travel guide to a vanished place" - this is a very comprehensive overview of life in the old GDR. Having visited several times in the late 70's, many of the items and memorabilia bring back memories, specifically the cheapness and the "ersatz" quality of daily life. e.g. the ubiquitous grey plastic, the public transport tickets produced from a million - times - recycled scrap paper, the exhaust - spewing Trabant cars, the paucity of goods on offer in shops, the sullen faces, the constant and exhorting propaganda which frantically attempted to "legitimize" this Soviet - German rump state. The SED (Communist Party) leadership was evil, spying and prosecuting and controlling all aspects of life for it's hapless citizens (one of my friends was imprisoned for the "crime" of "unauthorized attempt to flee The Republic"; even as a visitor, I discovered that I have a Stasi file detailing my visits to Dresden and East Berlin). No one misses the old GDR, but as it eventually fades into memory, this book is an excellent "souvenir" of that failed and misbegotten place...my highest recommendation.

The Wende Museum has been on my list of places to visit when next in L.A., and this book is a wonderful precursor. The book is *huge* (not in terms of diameter - but it has about *800 pages*). There are myriad terrific old photos and posters (of which there are multiple numbers on many of the pages), and most of the latter are primarily in color - and the printing process is really good, which is particularly impressive when considering the provenance of the photos. As an aside, I visited East Germany several times during the Cold War era - but even if you haven't, this book is incredibly informative and a real treat.

While well-intentioned, this book seems to imply that if you pray hard enough – such as for that dream house or for a clean bill of health – and wait on God’s timing, He’ll give you exactly what you want. While we are called to pray in faith and wait on Him, the Lord often shapes and molds our desires to accomplish His purposes. That means that things don’t always work out the way we had originally hoped, but we can trust it was for our good and His glory. This book is too self-centered rather than Christ-centered.

To say life has been hard is an understatement. Between caring for two chronically ill little dogs, combined with severe neurological issues myself, life has only been going down. Always down. Always with pain as a constant companion, and the future growing dimmer. I wish I had more grace and dignity, that I could say I held up under what I'd been given, but I only managed for a while. A few years. And all that time I kept telling myself things would get better. God would show me the way. Everything would work itself out.And then it didn't, and time has passed, and life has still been going down. I've lost count of the number of times in the past few days I've stared out the window in so much pain I wish I wasn't alive anymore. Not that I want to be anywhere else besides where God has put me, but I also don't want to be here, to feel the pain, and deal with the constant fear.Last week I gave up, on everything, and then this week I found this book. I've been screaming so much in my head, wanting to know why something didn't break for me when I still believed in dreams, and still wished to live, and before I finally gave up. But now I understand that everything has its time, and nothing can be rushed, and God is still there and listening. This book didn't fix anything for me. Even as I write this I am in so much pain it's hard to focus, and my two little dogs are no better.But where I didn't understand, now I do. Where I was starting to let go, I think I can hold on. Where I was beginning to lose faith, it has returned. It isn't really about what's at the end of the road. All that really matters is the journey, and no one can shorten that, or remove the lessons that must be learned as its walked.If you are lost, and in pain, and have given up, and if you're wondering how to hold onto dreams that have died, then this book, my friend, is for you!!!

Thank you, Rev. Martin. I downloaded this book back in February. I was going through something pretty traumatic in our family and the title caught my attention. I read it immediately and found it helpful in my situation. Months have gone by and the situation had not changed. I was feeling like I needed a boost so I read it again today. I am so encouraged and am feeling more at peace this evening. Between the message I heard in church and your encouraging words, I feel blessed that God has given me struggles to prepare myself for His kingdom.
