I bought it for nursing school and I use it all the time. The only thing it doesn't have however is a section for assessment recommendations for medication effectivenss. The Davis drug guide does if you want to spend the extra money
What a book and what details!. WOW! and at a great price too. Im old fashion still and I like the good ole hard copy in my hands. I don't use it at work but its a great home book. Enjoy!
I'm a nursing student and this drug book has helped me a lot. It's very easy to understand, unlike some of the other drug books I have see. I highly recommend ... especially for nursing students.
This book is amazing for nursing students and nurses. I love that it has the pictures of common drugs, even though they only show the name brand ones, not the generic. The pronunciations are also super helpful as some drugs are just ridiculous to pronounce.
Bought this book to use as a nursing student during my clinicals. It is not what I anticipated. I needed ease of access when looking for drug MOA quickly. This book does not compare to Davis Drug Book. Wish I would have chosen another one.
I prefer "The Pill Book" but it is not up to date on all the current & new medications. This Handbook is extremely detailed but a little difficult for quick research as the pages are extremely thin & not easily used by a non-medical professional.The books content is somewhat overbearing but essential if you wish to research all current & proposed meds.
I buy an updated version of this every year to stay current on Mefications. I am a Nursing Student and although med apps are handy - This book allows me to flip back and forth and compare information, while tanning specific sections for careplan prepping. It’s packed with helpful fundamentals as well. Worth keeping an updated version handy for even after I graduate.
This is a great resource even for the layman.Our doctor wasn't aware of some side effects of meds because his guides did not include them.Very helpful book to have!
